Our Annual Shoe Drive
Every year, hundreds of children on Santa Barbara's eastside walk into their first day of school. For too many of them, what's on their feet tells a story they didn't choose — worn-out shoes, sizes too small, or none at all. A new pair of shoes may seem small, but it's often the clearest marker of the gap between kids who have what they need and kids who don't. It's also one of the simplest, most powerful ways we can close that gap.
That's why, since 2015, Training C.A.M.P. has partnered our annual Shootout for Shoes Basketball Tournament with our shoe drive — using the game we love to fund something every child deserves: to walk into school with confidence and comfort.
Why Shoes Matter:
New shoes aren't just about comfort — they're about dignity. For a child, showing up to school in shoes that fit, that don't have holes, that don't draw stares from classmates, can mean the difference between walking in with their head up or trying to hide their feet all year. It's one less thing for a family to worry about, and one more reason for a child to feel proud of who they are.
Our Goal: 100+ Pairs of New Shoes
Each year, our goal is to provide 100 or more pairs of brand-new shoes to elementary students in need across eastside Santa Barbara. Every dollar raised through the tournament — registration fees, sponsorships, and donations — goes directly toward this goal.
A pair of shoes costs $58 to provide, but every amount helps, and thanks to our matching gift program, your impact goes even further.

3. Play in the Shootout for Shoes Tournament
Join our 3-on-3 basketball tournament, open to all ages and skill levels. Every registration fee funds shoes for a child in need.
